Dr. Anton is currently the President of the Global Science and Technology Forum (GSTF) and Founder & CEO of RapidStart. He is also the co founder and former Group CEO of Genovate Pte Ltd which under his leadership operated in 17 cities and 6 countries in Asia Pacific and won several awards including the Enterprise 50 award for 2 consecutive years in 2005 and 2006 where it was ranked as the fastest growing software company in Singapore.
In the industry, he worked for several major MNCs in technical and management capacities including IBM, Computer Associates, Sun Microsystems (Asia South), Oracle (Singapore) as well as Singalab (a former JV between National Computer Board of Singapore and IBM). At Sun Microsystems he won the President’s Club award for out-standing performance amongst other awards.
In academia, he is currently a Visiting Professor/Researcher, Institute for Research in Applicable Computing (IRAC), University of Bedfordshire, UK (March 2013 to February 2015), an Adjunct Professor at Birla Institute of Technology & Science (October 2013 to October 2015), Dept of Management (Pilani – Dubai Campus) and an Adjunct Professor (Faculty of Information Systems) at Bina Nusantara University (since October 2011). He also lectured, managed and supervised projects (for the off shore programs in Singapore) for the University of London (Goldsmith), Curtin University of Technology and University of Wales (Cardiff) programs. He has also delivered guest-lectures (for the MBA program) at National University of Singapore, at Ngee Ann Polytechnic (Singapore), University of Bedfordshire (UK), Ryerson University (Toronto), Krakow University of Technology (Poland), IIT (Kanpur) amongst others. He was also a mentor at the National University of S’pore Entrepreneurship Centre. He is currently the managing editor of Journal on Computing (JoC) (ISSN: 2010-2283) and Global Business Review (GBR) (ISSN: 2010-4804). He is the author and co-editor of ‘Business Review: Advanced Applications’ (published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing 978-1-4438-5029-2), ‘Forging Connections between Computational Mathematics and Computational Geometry’ (published by Springer 978-3-319-16138-9), ‘The ICT Age’ (published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing 978-1-4438-8714-4), ‘Innovations in Technology Enhanced Learning’ (published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing 978-1-4438-6629-3) and ‘Cloud Computing Body of Knowledge’ (published by Singapore Computer Society 978-981-11-3064-9) .
As a technopreneur, he won the top Singapore entrepreneur award for two consecutive years in FY 2005 & FY2006. Also was the overall winner of the Singapore Indian Entrepreneur of the Year Award (SIEA) for large enterprise category in FY 2006. He also won the GOPIO Business Leadership Award in 2005 at the 8th Annual GOPIO International Convention in S’pore. He founded Genovate Solutions (now known as Lithan Genovate), Knowledge Window Asia Pacific (now known as Lithan Hall) and RapidStart. He has been featured on CNBC, Channel News Asia (CNA), Straits Times, Business Times, TODAY, amongst others.
He has a BSc (Texas, USA) and an MBA (Texas, USA) and obtained his Doctoral degree in IT Management (high distinction) from the University of South Australia (UniSA). He was awarded the International Information Technology Management Scholarship to pursue his doctoral degree at UniSA. The Scholarship is awarded to international students for outstanding academic performance and achievement in previous tertiary studies. He is a fellow of the British Computer Society.
He is currently a Member of the International Advisory Panel for the Doctor of IT Management Program of University of South Australia;President of Cloud Computing Chapter (SCS) ,President of Singapore Education International (SEI), Vice Chairman Member Electric, Electronic & Allied Industries (EEAI) committee, SMa; Chair, Working Group, Cloud Computing Professional Development (CCDP), IDA; Member, IT & Technology Development Function Committee for SMa; Member, Singapore Institute of Directors; former member of National Internet Advisory Committee (NIAC) of the Ministry of Information, Communication and the Arts; was an Exco member of the Singapore Enterprise Chapter (SEC) of SiTF, Council Member, Business Continuity Group, amongst other committees and organizations.
